Te Reo Taketake is a beginners Māori language course that will effectively teach you basic pronunciation, family genealogy, nominal sentences, counting, time, and verbal sentences.
We offer differing combinations in this package depending on your desired level of independance.

You can choose from 3 packages which offer combinations of;
- An online program, interactive and engaging;
- A textbook, that acts as your support to the online program;
- An one on one online tutor, who will guide you through your study for 6 months.
Te Ao Māori - The Māori World
Perfect for those who are wanting to take their beginners knowledge of Te Reo to the next level!
Te Ao Māori is an exploration of Māori society and culture. Reinforce and advance your current knowledge of Māori, as Te Ao Māori is also the follow on program from Te Reo Taketake.
We offer differing combinations in this package depending on your desired level of independance.
Explore and extend your knowledge of Māori traditions including the protocols of the marae, Māori carving, and Māori performing arts - Kapa Haka;
You can choose from 3 packages which offer combinations of;- An online program, with a series of online activities which include interactive games, quizzes, and self-marking tests which allow you to truly immerse yourself in the study of Māori and Māori culture;
- A bilingual book, (English and Māori) with details of the many special Māori customs and meanings;
- An one on one online tutor, who will support you with your study for 6 months.
Certificate in Māori Studies
If you are working towards completing both Te Reo Taketake and Te Ao Māori programs then why not get an NZQA qualification?
By completing both programs you will earn youself 60 Level 4 NZQA Credits and a certificate in Māori Studies accreditied by Waiariki Institute of Technology.
We will ensure you succeed and achieve your certificate by providing all aspects of both programs.
You will get;

- Both books, these will support your online study and give you a physical document to keep at hand;
- An one on one online tutor, who will guide you through the programs for six months ensuring you attain your qualification.
